Among those who love sea trips, a love of yachts is a uniting factor. The Cool yachts series is our tribute to the luxury and extravagance of certain shipbuilders and their clients. Today we are talking about the famous Princess 75.

The new iteration of this yacht competes with its predecessor, which was launched in 2004. The luxury yacht is built by a company in Plymouth. American styling and a compact layout made the previous version a real hit in North America. In 2016 the new Princess 75 motor yacht was born.

Glazed all the way around and protected by special impact resistant glass, this yacht immediately catches the eye with its almost futuristic look. A luxurious 3 by 2 metre swim platform speaks at once of the yacht's substantial size, with a total saloon area of 13 square metres. This is a sporty, high speed yacht of great comfort, made for lovers of luxury and speed.

From the galley, fitted with a fridge of one cubic metre in total volume, to the lounge finished in Macassar ebony and equipped with an excellent TV, the fittings of this yacht are designed for those who prefer to relax in full comfort.

The power plant

If you love calm sea trips, you will hardly like the Princess 75. The yacht comes with several options, including a Caterpillar engine of 1622 hp that pushes the yacht to an impressive 33 knots. If that is not enough, you can enjoy 34 knots with the uprated version of the engine at 1723 hp. The most powerful engine, a MAN V-12, reaches 1800 hp. The engines are twin units and provide excellent thrust.

A defining design feature is the huge panoramic windows. The floor to ceiling glass reaches a height of 2.05 metres. These are the windows in the saloon. The other windows are impressive in size too. In the cabin the glass is 1.7 metres high, opening up a luxurious view of the sea.

Prices for yachts like these are, of course, very high. The cost of this model runs into millions of dollars. Then again, is it really a shame to part with a few million dollars to impress your guests with a luxurious view of the sea?!
